About Casson's English Herbs
The Casson family have been growing and sourcing herbs
and spices at Frith
Farm for the flavour and fragrance industries for three generations.
Having begun selling fresh herbs at farmers' markets
in 2005, Charlotte Casson realised that due to its seasonality,
it wasn’t easy to obtain fresh herbs all year round. She started
to develop a range of products that would enable everyone to have
the highest quality herbs in their cupboard throughout the year.
Casson’s launched the award winning English
Herbs range in May 2007, quickly followed by their Herbs & Spices
range in September 2007. Both have been developed for their
flavours, versatility and convenience.
The English Herb range has won four awards since
launching in 2007; the Watercress Sauce won ‘Best Overall
Watercress Product’ on its launch day at the Alresford Watercress
Festival, followed by three Gold Great Taste Awards from The
Guild of Fine Food for the Watercress Sauce,
Tarragon & Lemon Sauce and Apple
& Sage Jelly.
Casson’s English Herbs
The herbs used in the dressings, jellies and sauces
are grown and sourced by the Casson family. This range of products
uses herbs that are picked for their quality, unique flavours and
traditional cooking values.
Casson’s Herbs & Spices
Casson’s use the highest quality dried herbs
for their Herbs & Spices range, grown and sourced on the farm.
These herbs are produced so that they do not lose their colour or
flavour during the drying process, carried out at Frith Farm. The other ingredients are chosen for their intense flavours
and high qualities that will compliment the herbs.
